for once, im titling this with yyyy-mm-dd like i use for everything else. anyways, nothing major this time.

new emote packs: Project SEKAI

as so frequently happens, i got nerdsniped. i spent a bit of time writing rust code to put together a pleroma emote repository from the project sekai stamp files availlable from the excellent sekai-viewer asset ripping project.

for the unaware, Project SEKAI / Colorful Stage is an official rhythm game / visual novel / gacha game starring the Crypton Future Media vocaloids, most notably Hatsune Miku. it has a lot of characters, and, in the co-op/competitive modes there are "stamps" that you can use to communicate, featuring the characters. they're very fun and cute, and have become memes in certain queer spaces.

sekai-viewer provides what i need to get all the emote files, so i just had to write the rust code to pull the assets, rename the files, and generate the JSON. you can find the code here. it's pretty rough, but works well enough.

the files it generates are, at present, pler-/akk-oma specific, but it wouldn't take much for me to add code for sharkey and stuff. if you run an akkoma instance, you can get the emotes at /downloads2/emotes/pleroma/, in the Project SEKAI subdirectory.

the depths

removed some stuff from the header, added a new region: the depths, in which i use my existing index code as a minimal publishing system, sorta similar to werc. in theory the index pages can be php scripts, so i'll probably add stuff like a recent change index, etc. what's there right now is a sparse quote index, and a "Uses This" page.

anyways!

that's all! toodles!
